This was the Creative Eastleigh stand which will be at the event all weekend. The stand had a couple of designs from two of the designers from the sorting office in Eastleigh. There were a lot of posters advertising all the things that Creative Eastleigh does and various leaflets for people to take away and find out more. As Eastleigh is quite close to Bournemouth it was an ideal place to promote themselves as well as promoting the Enliven Fashion show and the Southampton Solent Rehearsal on Saturday 7th June.
The House of Fraser show had a mixture of menswear and womenswear, and a mixture of casual wear, formal wear and swimwear.
These are some images of the Bournemouth University fashion design graduates collections. These photos were taken when the models had all walked and then grouped together at the end to show off the whole collection, and it is much nicer to see all the garments as one. It is very easy to tell that the pieces are all from the same collection by looking at the colours and patterns used.
One of the main things that we didn't like from the graduate showcase was the music. It was club style music and each song was played through a couple of times before putting a new song on. There were also some quiet points whilst waiting for a new song which meant you could hear the models shoes clumping on the staging and it just seemed a little unfinished. The catwalk was also an odd shape and ours will look very different to this, however overall the show was good and we enjoyed watching another graduate fashion show to give us some ideas. We also managed to find one of the models after and asked if she'd like to model at the Southampton Solent show - fingers crossed she says yes!
