The show is drawing closer and in the next couple of weeks there are lots of little bits to sort out ready for the big event. We need to create the gift bags, which we now have all ready to be prepared. The fashion show logo will be stuck on to the gift bags to make them much more personalised and then all the goodies we have received from the various sponsors need to be placed in the bags.
There are a lot of people helping out with the show and during the next few days we will be meeting with these different groups of helpers to discuss the day. Dressers need to learn how to dress efficiently and properly and the head hair and make up artists need to let us know the looks they have planned for the models. Everything is starting to pull together and the show is going to be here before we know it!
A while ago three invitation ideas were put forward for our followers to decide on their favourite. The winning invitation was shown to our university tutor, who decided she was unhappy with the final choice and this meant I had to go back to the drawing board. One of the design students who will be taking part in the show sent me a few images of her collection from a photoshoot she had done and I used these to produce the new and improved invitation. One of the pieces has a very strong and bold silhouette, so I chose to black out this image and use it on the invite. This almost acts like a taster of what's to come and hints at the kind of designs people can expect during the show. Overall, the finish is much stronger and the invitation went from looking slightly amateur and charity show like, to professional and high end.
