An essential part of any fashion show is the goodie bags that get given out. Everybody loves a good freebee (us included) and a big part of our goodie bag is the promotional booklet we are creating. This booklet will include some of the Fashion Design and Fashion Promotion & Communication students from Southampton Solent University. It is a great way to show off their skills and promote the students to industry professionals that will be attending the show. Each of the thirty-one students that will be included in the booklet have sent us a paragraph about themselves and their future aspirations, along with some images of their work and their contact details. This gives industry a good taste of what each student wants to do as a career and the types of skills they hold, it also allows industry to get hold of the students with ease. Our job is to put the information into booklet form, and we really want to create a fun, eye catching booklet. It can be quite easy for a lot of text to appear dull, therefore the graphics used will be unique and bold. A lot of the graphic inspiration has come from Pinterest. Pinterest is a great tool for finding incredible images and perfect to help anyone get inspired. All we did was type in Graphic Design Booklets and hundreds of images appeared with so much variety. Text graphics, shape graphics, colours, lines, images, and more. We put together a couple of inspiration boards to show the images that have inspired us the most, and to give an idea of what you might expect from the final booklet when it is completed.
