The hair and make up students will be provided with one or two models each on the day and will be given a brief to work to. The models will all look the same throughout as they will be wearing more than one garment from different collections. Keeping the same make up means that the show will look coherent and the models look will compliment all outfits.
The helpers needed for the show do not need to have a lot of experience as we will be providing a session before the event teaching the skills needed. The backstage helpers will be dressers, and their job is to get the models ready for the catwalk. The ratio of dressers to models will be 2:1, as some of the garments may be harder to put on. The dressers will have approximately 9 minutes to get the model ready for the catwalk and the garment needs to be put on in the correct way. It will be an extremely fast paced job but at the end it will be very rewarding.
The front of house helpers will be there to ensure that the guests are happy. They will give out drinks, show guests to their seats and answer any questions anyone may have. All of these helpers are there to ensure that the whole show runs smoothly!
