Halloween as we know it, is a time of
spooky horror stories, gruesome costumes and ‘trick or treat’ing. For some
brave and bold brides, Halloween is the perfect time to hold a pumpkin-tastic
wedding. Let’s be honest, the thought of a Halloween wedding is tacky cobwebs,
a gloomy atmosphere and a gothic black wedding dress. Well it’s safe to say, I
was completely wrong. I would never ever have considered a Halloween wedding,
but from looking through various wedding blogs and searching for inspiration on
Pinterest, I may have changed my mind slightly. It seems that a lot of creative
brides and grooms have managed to make Halloween into something quite
spectacular and beautiful.
Typically we all think of Halloween as very
dark and black. Black and white as a wedding colour scheme can look extremely
elegant if done well. Halloween brides add a touch of pastel orange and
gorgeous gold to transform their spooky wedding into a magical Halloween
fairytale. Perhaps my favourite part of Halloween weddings is the versatility
of a pumpkin. Gold pumpkins, pastel pumpkins, pumpkin vases, pumpkin favours,
pumpkin place settings and the list is quite possible endless. Who knew a
pumpkin could look so stunning! Here are some of my favourite Halloween
