East London Fashion Show - A Sultry Special!
As
part of our final major project we need to gain as much primary research as possible.
This is the first fashion show we have planned, so it is essential that we
attend some other shows to see what elements are involved. We received an
invite from a previous Solent student, who has now set up her own company. She
puts on catwalk shows in the East London area, and her aim is to help up and
coming designers, make up artists and models. We went along to the show, which
was showcased at a cocktail bar in East London called, Through The Looking
Glass. The cocktail bar had a lot of character, and actually had a giant mirror
that also double as a doorway! Very fun! The catwalk was very small and was
quite casual and intimate, but the collections shown were brilliant. They were
so unusual and out there, the designers will definitely make it in the industry
with such great designs.
